⛪ Gluten-free and glorious! Craft a stunning gingerbread church that's perfect for your holiday table. Time is of the essence, so let's get started on this gluten-free Christmas masterpiece!
Are you looking for a creative holiday decoration idea? A gingerbread church is a unique and beautiful option. Just like the gingerbread house, a non-spread gingerbread church can wow their holiday guests and become a conversation piece. It's a fantastic project to involve their children in, teaching them about tradition, creativity, and teamwork.
Ingredients:
200g butter
¾ cup dark brown sugar
3 cups almond flour
1 large egg
½ cup molasses
2-4 tsp vanilla
Ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon to taste
Method:
- Add 200g butter at room temperature and ¾ cup dark brown sugar to a large bowl. Beat the mixture until the butter turns light and fluffy. A stand mixer is great for this, but a handheld works perfectly well.
- In the same bowl, combine 3 cups almond flour, 1 large egg, ½ cup molasses, and 2-4 tsp vanilla with the butter mixture. Add ginger and cinnamon to taste. Knead the mixture until just combined. If preferred, you can substitute nutmeg for ginger.
- Bake at 150°C for 15 minutes and leave to cool on a flat surface. Your gingerbread will now hold strong even though your construction is out of this world.
