Non-spread Christmas gingerbread dog house recipe

🐶 Calling all dog lovers! Bake up a non-spread gingerbread dog house that'll have your furry friend wagging their tail with joy this Christmas. Time's running out to make their holiday extra special!

Make your furry family members feel special during the holidays, a gingerbread dog house is the perfect treat. It's an activity that allows both kids and pets to participate, creating heartwarming moments.

Ingredients:

200g butter

¾ cup dark brown sugar

3 cups flour

1 large egg

½ cup molasses

2-4 tsp vanilla

Ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon to taste

Method:

  1. Add 200g butter at room temperature and ¾ cup dark brown sugar to a large bowl. Beat the mixture until the butter turns light and fluffy. A stand mixer is great for this, but a handheld works perfectly well.
  2. In the same bowl, combine 3 cups flour, 1 large egg, ½ cup molasses, and 2-4 tsp vanilla with the butter mixture. Add ginger and cinnamon to taste. Knead the mixture until just combined. If preferred, you can substitute nutmeg for ginger.
  3. Bake at 150°C for 15 minutes and leave to cool on a flat surface. Your gingerbread will now hold strong even though your construction is out of this world.
